Known for producing indie films, Miranda Bailey’s work as a filmmaker has helped shape the cultural landscape of the independent films we know today. From showing the reality of teenage sexuality in Marielle Heller’s first film (Diary of a Teenage Girl) to breaking the boundaries of BIZARRE with Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert's (AKA "The Daniels") directorial debut in Swiss Army Man, Miranda has played an integral part building the careers of some of the finest filmmakers we have today. Bailey’s motto, “I don’t believe in director jail,” is what steered her to executive produce Noah Baumbach’s The Squid and the Whale and James Gunn’s Super, launching them into cinematic history.
